Hatch Brenner to support Connects & Co. for 2016
09 December 2015
Hatch Brenner LLP, the Norwich-based Solicitors, are delighted to announce that they will be supporting local charity Connects & Co. for 2016.
Connects & Co., based in Norwich, support children and young people who live with the effects of terminal or long-term illness, disability, mental health issues and addiction within their family. The charity provides emotional and practical support for children and young people and gives them the opportunity to build new friendships and take part in a wide range of activities.
Hatch Brenner staff voted to support Connects & Co. after reviewing a shortlist of local charities put forward through nominations from each department within the law firm. The Hatch Brenner staff will support the charity for the next year through a series of fundraising activities and projects.
Sallie Boyd, Founder and Project Manager of Connects & Co. commented: “We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to all the Hatch Brenner staff for picking our charity to support in the coming year. Many of the children and young people we support are carers for family members. Looking after someone when so young means growing up fast and losing a lot of the freedom that others at the same age take for granted. Connects & Co. is only a very small charity but we offer a means of being able to get out and meet other people in a similar position.”

Dawn Parkes, Managing Partner of Hatch Brenner added: “We are looking forward to working with Connects & Co. in 2016. It is incredibly humbling to see how many children and young adults such a small team of people can support.” Hatch Brenner will be supporting Connects & Co. in the coming weeks by supplying Christmas presents for 24 children of varying ages who Connects & Co. felt could do with some festive cheer for various reasons such as single parents with tight finances, disabilities or that they have suffered the loss of a parent.
Sallie commented: “The families who will be receiving donated presents from Hatch Brenner this Christmas will be really touched with anything they receive to help make their children’s Christmas a little more special.” More information about the charity and how to support them can be found at http://connectsandco.co.uk/
